Video clips on the new study edition of Robert Walser's works

Together with filmmaker Matthias Günter, the Robert Walser Centre has produced eight short films and will publish them in the coming weeks. The two to three minute clips feature individual volumes of the new Bern edition of Robert Walser's works and address their audience primarily via social media.

The evocative films combine four elements: Views of paths and streets from the perspective of walking characters, texts by Walser spoken by Stefan Kurt, thoughts that readers appearing in the film have about the corresponding text, and a soundtrack by the sound and installation artist Zimoun.

The first short film on the novel Der Gehülfe will be released on 18 November 2022 at 2pm on all channels of the Robert Walser Centre.
