Book launch: Catalogue accompanying the Karl Walser retrospective in Japan.

On Wednesday 19 August 2026 at 6 pm, we will be presenting the catalogue for the Karl Walser retrospective – which is being shown in Tokyo and Osaka this year – at the Robert Walser Centre in collaboration with the Zentrum Paul Klee.

Speakers will include Marcel Lepper, Marie Kakinuma, Bernadette Walter and Reto Sorg.

The beautifully designed catalogue, published in English and Japanese, comprises 360 pages and features numerous colour reproductions. It is available exclusively at the Robert Walser Centre and can be purchased for 40 CHF. An introduction to the exhibition project by Marie Kakinuma can also be found in this year’s issue of the Robert Walser Society’s publication Mitteilungen der Robert Walser-Gesellschaft (2026, No. 33, pp. 19–20).
