Exhibition at the Robert Walser Centre
Featuring 69 watercolours by Lika Nüssli based on Robert Walser’s feuilletons.

From 24 October 2025

»Robert Walser’s seductive candour flows through me, taking shape as forms and colours on the paper. His stories inspire me to spin them further, to twist them and to expand them into the realm of gender fluidity. It seems to me as though time and space between him, his work and me are transformed into a tiny nothingness. For me, drawing means thinking, observing the world and giving it form, as a suggestion, as an offer to others. To create is to make a statement.«

Lika Nüssli researches and experiments in the field of narration. She lives in St. Gallen. She has received numerous awards for her work, which encompasses drawings, illustrations, performances and texts. Among others, she was awarded the Swiss Literature Prize 2023 for the graphic novel Starkes Ding, published by Edition Moderne.
