Exhibition from 12 May to 30 September 2011
Vernissage on 12 May 2011
The artist, who was born in Herisau in 1946 and is considered an important representative of conceptual art with his linear, minimalist works, is showing several new watercolours on the premises of the Robert Walser Centre.
The exhibition is a collaboration between Markus Zürcher and our staff in their offices. Konrad Tobler will speak at the vernissage. Konrad Tobler is a trustee of the Robert Walser Foundation Bern and has followed Markus Zürcher's work for many years.
The painter and illustrator Markus Zürcher spent his childhood in Herisau and has lived in Bern for over forty years. The Robert Walser Centre is delighted to be able to show works from the new series of large watercolour works for the first time. Markus Zürcher is celebrating his 65th birthday this year.
