You cannot leave your own history behind unless you know it. In her highly acclaimed debut novel, Mina Hava combines historical material, research and reconstruction work with personal experiences, losses and fears - and sheds light on what historical events mean to people. Für Seka narrates a young life in which the political and the personal are inextricably linked, a story of abandonment and of being abandoned and of the question of what has been.
Mina Hava (25) has studied at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig and at the ETH in Zurich. We are pleased to welcome the author to the Robert Walser Centre as part of the Bern premiere of her novel. After the reading and a talk, we would like to invite everyone to a drink.
